I was at the Barrett-Jackson the year they were auctioning off one of the 2008 Barrett-Jackson Special Edition Shelby GT Convertible. The striking color scheme, black with red Shelby stripes, make them stand out wherever you see them. It was created as the result of a team effort between Shelby, Ford Motor Co and the Barrett-Jackson Auction people. They made a limited production run of only 100 custom built coupes and convertibles, of which this car is one. With the red stripes, hood scoop, custom wheels, and lowered performance suspension, these cars are set apart from the other Shelbys because of their unique style and stance.
This one is one-of-a-kind because in addition to the Barrett-Jackson package this particular car has been further customized by adding a Kenny Bell Supercharger, which was installed by Shelby in Las Vegas, NV, making this Shelby into a GT S/C. A full Steeda performance suspension package and a Baer Big Brake package complement the additional horsepower. The interior has also been improved by Classic Auto Trim and TMS motorsports, adding a full two-tone leather interior.
For the true Shelby collector here is a chance to own a one-of-a-kind limited production Shelby Mustang with only 12kmiles!
This car has been SOLD.
It was featured in the newsletter this weekend when it was posted for sale by Hendrick Performance out of Concord, North Carolina. Click here to see more incredible Late Model Sports Cars like this one.
