The Auto Collections out of Las Vegas, Nevada just listed a 1939 Cadillac Fleetwood Convertible for sale. According to the ad, this car is rare – it’s body #10 of only 39 produced! Under the hood is a 346/150 hp V8 engine. This is the big Series 75 vintage classic car from Cadillac.
Chassis Number: 8316597
346 cid, 150 HP V-8 engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. A very low production model, this is body #10 of 39 produced. According to the original cowl tag this car left the factory in black. It appears to have been treated to a very handsome color change in light green probably in the early 1990s and carries such options as a heater and clock in the dashboard, plus a Fleetwood clock for rear seat passenger mounted in the center divider, enclosed dual side-mount spare tires, and factory fog lights. The odometer currently shows just less than 18,900 miles, and reportedly this car was originally ordered by the mayor of Minneapolis and used in a number of parades and other official functions, however, no documentation to support this claim has been found. This model is a full classic and also a welcomed addition to Cadillac and La Salle club functions.
