1939 Lincoln Zephyr Custom

1939 Lincoln Zephyr Custom

A few years back when a custom 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible street rod sold for over $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction appreciation for these unique custom creations was just getting started. While the Zephyr is the perfect base for a stylish custom street build, to do it right costs an incredible amount of cash. They are almost always into six figures to build.

Today our friends at the Volo Auto Museum have a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Custom convertible for sale which was built by Speedster Motorcars in 2005. They say it has been so obsessively cared for that it still has only 700 actual miles on the build.

The car had a rectangular steel frame made specially for this build. They say it rides like a cloud. It has coil-over shocks, tubular control arms, rack and pinion steering, 4-wheel disc brakes and beautiful glove leather interior (click through to see photos on the ad page.)

The engine is a GM Vortec 5.3 liter V8, and it has a 4L60E electronic overdrive automatic transmission.

It  is just one of an incredible selection of street rods and hot rods featured in the Cars On Line.com newsletter this weekend. Click here to view more.
