This car was marked SOLD a few weeks ago, but the deal apparently never went through. The seller re-affirms that it is “one of the nicest original Pontiac’s on the planet.” The 1955 Pontiac Star Chief comes with a 287 ci 4-barrel V8 motor, Hydro transmission, and almost every option you could get in ’55, including air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, spot light and all the chrome in the world. He says that mechanically the car is totally original and never touched or customized. The interior is “as new except the carpet and seats which look as new after expert re-upholstery.” With this description you would not normally expect that the price would be so affordable. After all this was a very desirable Pontiac in its time. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. The asking price is $15,000. Wow!
