A New York broker is offering something that might just be rare enough for even the most discrete car collection. We Be Autos.com, one of the fastest growing auto brokers on the East Coast, is now offering for sale a 1953 Pegaso Z102 Spyder. Only two such cars were ever built by the Sauotchik Coachworks. You can see it is a right hand drive car probably built as special order for a Spanish gentleman. It has a special alloy body, 5-speed manual transmission and 2.8 Liter V8 engine with dry-sump lubrication, dual Weber carburetors and four overhead cams. Pegaso was a Spanish truck manufacturer that fancied having a line of sports cars as a side business. Only 84 sports cars were built between 1951 and 1958. Of those, only 18 were special fabricated at the legendary Sauotchik shop. The car is actually bigger than it looks in these photos. It is very streamlined.
