Entering the listings this week is an “In the Wrapper” 1996 Dodge Viper GTS courtesy of Legendary Motorcar Co. According to the dealership, this Viper GTS has been collector owned since new and remains in showroom condition throughout. It retains all the plastic on the seats and steering wheel and shows only 797 original miles on the odometer.
Since its introduction in 1992, the Dodge Viper had instantly become one of the pinnacles of America Sports Car performance. For the first year of production, all Viper GTS’ were finished in blue with white stripes, paying homage to the Shelby Daytona coupe where it is said inspiration for the body design was taken from.
This particular 1996 Viper GTS has the original window sticker in place on the windshield. Being the inaugural year for the GTS model, these cars have an element of collectability.
