Did someone ask for a gasser? Here’s a 1957 Chevy Gasser that will have you clicking over for more. It was built by a Southern California Speed Shop with a balanced and blueprinted ’64 327 ci engine, bored and stroked to 336 ci with a mouse motor rebuilt with 10.5:1 KB pistons. Here is what the dealership had to say:
Hang on to your hats cause this is not just any old 1957 Chevy, this famous Gasser will blow your socks off. As a boy, our client watched his father build some pretty amazing cars. His father purchased this car many years ago with the intent of building a show stopping Gasser, but sadly, he passed away before he even got started. Wanting to build a tribute to his Dad, our client contacted SoCal Speed shop and longtime friend, Jimmy Shine to help with the build. The sheetmetal was in good shape at the beginning of the build, and was cut and channeled over the frame. The grille and front bumper are gone, but the rear bumper, distinctive 150 side trim, and most of the rest of the chrome trim are intact. The stock dash includes Stewart Warner gauges with a Sun “football” tach mounted on top.
