Don’t miss the SLIDE SHOW ad for the impressive 1950 Mercury Lead Sled now for sale in Carbondale, Illinois. The seller tells us this Merc has a perfect southern body that has been chopped in the ’50s custom style. The ad states the vehicle was owned by the late NHRA legend “Buddy” Ingersol.

The structural and cosmetic fit on the pillars, doors, trim, and glass is perfect. In recent years its been shown, and awarded extensively throughout the Eastern half of the continental US, by the late NHRA legend “Buddy” Ingersol. Buddy, a close friend of Demon Racing Carbs founder Barry Grant, personally tailored the car with the first Demon brand six-pack (3×2) set-up. No time or expense has been spared.
