Legendary Motorcar Company is well known in the U.S. as a purveyor of fine collectible automobiles. This week they’ve listed a 1961 Maserati 3500 GT, a car so popular that it is credited with saving the Maserati franchise. They began building the 3500 GT in 1957. By 1961 it came with modern features such as 4-wheel disc brakes and 5-speed transmission. This one came with triple Weber carburetors topping a 3.5L six cylinder engine with two plugs per cylinder (see photos.) This Italian grand touring car is an exciting find for any true European sports car aficionado. It is a left-hand-drive model. The chrome wire wheels are the perfect accent to the large grilled filled by the Maserati trident and bright work seen throughout the car.
