In this week’s Cars On Line Daily Update newsletter you’ll find a great sales video of a 1961 Chevy Impala SS 409. Yes, it’s a Bubble Top 409 car! It is being offered for sale by Southern Motors out of Clarkston, Michigan. You don’t come across these Bubble Top 409 cars that often.
First off, the narrator for the video is Dave Witt who has a passion for these cars. He says he’s been with the company for over 1961 Chevy Impala SS 40920 years, has personally sold over 4,000 classic cars, and this is only the second Impala SS 409 that he has offered for sale. It’s then you start to get a sense of just how rare these 409 cars are. It is a beautiful car. The Roman Red and white colors are accented by polished stainless steel and immaculate chrome. Note all the shimmering chrome and brightwork in the video. Then open the hood to see a 409 ci big block topped by a GM Tri-power and intake. When they start it up, just listen to it purr!
