The Mach 1 Mustang has always been the ultimate “poor man’s Shelby.” Once Ford saw how the public was salivating for Carroll Shelby’s interpretation of their popular Pony car they set out to make a Shelby for the masses. And this 1970 Mach 1 Mustang from Mendota Heights, Minnesota is a good example of how effective that strategy was. This Grabber Yellow phenom with the black stripes will turn heads as the big block 351 Cleveland engines makes a throaty entrance. Now this car is said to have been rebuilt in the last few years. The seller says it now has a short block but he says he will include the original Cleveland engine in the sale. He says the 4-barrel still needs to be rebuilt. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. The rebuilt parts on this car are worth more than the asking price at $24,000!
This car has been SOLD.
