1965 Mustang K Code GT Convertible

1965 Mustang K Code GT Convertible

Fastlane Classic Cars in St. Charles, Missouri just listed a 1965 Mustang GT K Code Convertible for sale. According to the ad the Honey Gold convertible is powered by a numbers matching 289 ci High Performance V8 and a 4-speed transmission. The K Code cars were what Carroll Shelby ordered from Ford as the base cars for his Shelby GT350’s. It had the K Code 289 small block motor that was rated by the factory at 271  horsepower. Fastlane tells us that this one is numbers matching.

Correct Honey Gold exterior came with a black top, correct black vinyl Pony interior, power convertible top, wood steering wheel, front disc brakes, highly detailed troughout. Note the correct engine bay, brilliant chrome, AM radio, Pony wheels w/ BF Goodrich radial T/A’s, highly detailed underside, Ford 9” rear end w/ 3.50:1 gears.

This car has been SOLD.

Fastlane tells us it has been extremely well restored, and comes with correct numbers matching K Code engine. It is a Mustang convertible that would be a welcome addition to any collection!!!
