1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible

1970-Dodge-Challenger-R-T-Convertible

Over the years we’ve seen a few of the first year Dodge Challenger R/T promo cars. Although there were 129 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertibles produced in 1970, the first year Dodge made the Challenger, only about three or four early edition promo cars were made, all equipped with the 440 Magnum big block motor and automatic transmission. That makes this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible a truly desirable collector car to own. It may be one of the top Mopar muscle cars of all time. It comes with a full inspection report done by Mopar historian Galen Govier. A collector from Lincoln, Nebraska is selling this promo car. He says it comes with original fender tags, VIN tag, original intach door VIN decal, original authentic body numbers and ownership history dating back to about 1975. He says it has undergone a complete rotisserie restoration with less than 20 miles on the rebuild.

This car has been SOLD.

These cars were known to have been purpose built for the Dodge public relations departments to promo the new Challenger E-body cars.
