It’s time to tour a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 that’s said to be just “like it rolled off the showroom floor,” by Tony Fleming himself, of Flemings Ultimate Garage. The video isn’t just an advertisement for a beautiful car either. Tony discusses some of the things that commonly get overlooked, things that buyers should be asking. The Chevelle has a detailed factory original, numbers matching, correct JA-coded 396 cid/325 horsepower Mark IV big block V8 with a correct factory Rochester Quadrajet carburetor under the hood. You’ll get to hear it run later in the video, and no amount of hood insulation will hold the glorious growl back. A few of the original components have been upgraded, like the front and rear Hotchkis sway bars, but every original component is tucked away in the trunk, and included in the sale. Flemings Ultimate Garage says that door-to-door shipping is included in the price, and that it will be ready to take to any show, maybe even win an award or two. There’s no doubt, the mirror-like quality of the new, and correct, Fathom Green Paint just begs onlookers to get a closer look. If you don’t get a chance to see it in person in Rockville, Maryland, don’t miss your chance to see it in video here!
