Internet Buyers Looking for Corvettes

Corvettes take the lead! In a surprising turn-around from one month ago, Corvette has emerged as the most sought after muscle car among internet buyers, according to the recent Cars On Line Top Ten Most Popular poll for muscle cars. The term Corvette claimed 15.22 percent of internet searches for muscle cars. (See our Corvette Section). The last time Corvettes were so popular was last spring in May 2013.

Each month the Cars On Line staff analyzes statistics from Google and Bing search engines in order to understand consumer trends. This month there was a slight shake-up in the rankings. Pontiac GTO continued to creep up the rankings, claiming 12.56 percent of internet searches to land comfortably in second place. Meanwhile Camaros dropped to third, down two spots from atop our previous “Top Ten Most Popular” list for muscle cars. Dodge Charger and Chevelle held steady in the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively. View the current rankings below.

For the second month in a row, the Ford F100 pickup was the vehicle driving the most interest. The classic truck was so popular that it made up 2.93 percent of internet searches for classic vehicles. Nash jumped up two spots to round out the top five. Meanwhile Dodge fell to No. 8, down two spots from the previous month.
