Mopars are back! After a two month hiatus, Dodge Chargers have once again taken the lead on our “Top Ten Most Popular” list for muscle cars, claiming 25.8 percent of internet searches in November (See our Mopar Section). Each month the Cars On Line staff analyzes statistics from Google and Bing search engines in order to understand consumer trends. This month there was a shake-up in the rankings. Camaros continued to creep up the rankings, claiming 11.7 percent of internet searches to land in second place. Meanwhile Corvettes dropped to third after being the most sought after muscle car among internet buyers just last month. View the Top Ten Muscle Cars below.
November was a month dominated by Ford in the classic car market. According to Google and Bing statistics, 11.8 percent of classic car buyers were in pursuit of something built by Ford (See our Ford Section). For the third month in a row, the Ford F100 pickup was the vehicle driving the most interest. The classic truck was so popular that it made up 2.8 percent of internet searches for classic vehicles. There were only subtle changes to the rest of November’s classic car rankings. Rolls-Royce jumped up two spots to seventh place, while Essex fell three spots to land in last place.
