Exotic Classics out of Long Island, New York just listed a historically significant 1954 Kaiser-Darrin Roadster finished in Yellow Satin with matching interior and top. The Kaiser-Darrin was created to compete with Chevrolet’s Corvette in the growing sports car market. In 1954 – the only year of production – a mere 435 cars were built in addition to an estimated six pre-production prototypes. The example for sale here is #393 of the full production. According to the ad, the car is powered by a 6-cylinder Willys L-Head 161 ci engine with 3-speed gearbox and overdrive. The car was subject to a total nut and bolt restoration and is said to show only 3,800 miles on the odometer. Very few of these have survived, don’t let this one pass you by!
This car has been SOLD.
