There are not many of these left in existence. A 1978 Mustang King Cobra was listed by a Canadian seller yesterday. Man what a find! It even has provenance having been owned by Bobby Aldrich, a well known Mustang II afficionado. By 1973 Ford Motor Company was becoming sensitive to a fuel conscious new car buyer. After all there was an energy crisis in ’73. The Mustang II was very successful selling over 1 million units in four years. But what was in it for the muscle car guy? So Ford came out with a limited edition car they called the Mustang King Cobra in 1978. Not many of these are left today. It was a one-year only edition because Mustang came out with the Fox body cars the next year. We have not seen one of these for sale in this kind of condition. Hurry! It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week with an asking price of only $15,000. (Don’t forget to have it inspected before you buy.)
