Mopars are back! It’s been awhile, but it looks like Mopar muscle cars are starting to surge in popularity again. The Dodge Charger has once again taken the lead on our “Top Ten Most Popular” list for muscle cars, claiming 19.86 percent of internet searches last month. (See our Mopar Section).
Each month Cars On Line staff analyzes statistics from Google and Bing search engines in order to understand consumer trends. This past month the demand for Mopar muscle cars rose higher among internet buyers. The Dodge Challenger continued to steadily climb the rankings, claiming 10.12 percent of internet searches to land in third place. You’ll note this was the first time in as many months that the Pontiac Firebird made an appearance within the Top Ten. See the full list below:
It was no surprise to see Ford dominate the classic car market again this past month. According to Google and Bing statistics, 14.36 percent of classic car buyers were in pursuit of something built by Ford (See our Ford Section). For the seventh month in a row, the Ford F100 pickup was the vehicle driving the most interest. The classic truck was so popular it made up 2.69 percent of internet searches for classic vehicles. There were only minor changes to the rest of the classic car rankings. International dropped four spots to land in ninth place. Making a comeback was Rolls-Royce, which found itself back on the Top Ten list after being absent the previous month.
