It is rare enough that this 1957 Corvette Fuelie Convertible has the 283/283 hp fuelie engine. It is even more rare that a fuelie car would have a late 1957 factory 4-speed manual transmission.But when you add these to the fact that this one also came in a rare factory color scheme in all Onyx black (without alternate color coves), this ’57 may actually define the term “rare.” The fuelie with matching numbers solid lifter engine is being offered for sale this week by Vintage Vettes of Kansas City, Missouri. They say it is from a well known collection, and that the shielding and air cleaner FI unit all look correct. It is black with a black top and beige interior. The listing is so fresh that Vintage Vettes does not have a full set of photos yet. For the right collector this is the time to swoop in and make this one yours.
