The masculine lines of this 2014 Lamborghini Aventador remind you of a tiger haunched, ready to spring into furious action. But what men might see in this premium exotic car contrasts what a woman takes in about it. They implicitly recognize it as the sexiest car ever to seize the road. This LP 700-4 Roadster makes no excuses and takes no prisoners.
The Joe Perillo Auto Group owns several exotic car dealerships in the Chicago area. But just this past year, in August 2014, they opened a Perillo Lamborghini dealership in Downers Grove, Illinois. Now they are offering this 2014 Lamborghini Aventador, one of the most exclusive cars ever produced, through their Perillo Pre-Owned Outlet, also located in Downers Grove.
This 2014 Lamborghini Aventador (pronounced a-ven’-ta-dor) LP 700-4 Roadster is Arancio Argos Pearl in color. The interior is Nero Ade (black) leather. The engine is a 6.5L V12 with about 396 ci of displacement and, of course, rated at 700 horsepower. This V12 engine was all-new at the time of the Aventador’s introduction. This is only the second V12 ever produced by Lamborghini. The LP700-4 Roadster is an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive car which features the E-gear transmission, a 7-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The rear spoiler is controlled electronically and is removable. Suspension is described as a “front and rear mono-tube damper with push-rod system.” It is so well balanced that it seems to defy the laws of centrifugal force.
The Lamborgini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster was first put into production in December of 2012. That was the 2013 edition with the same V12 engine as the coupe. Coupes became available in the second half of 2011. Lamborghini reports that it will go from zero to 100 km per hour (or approximately 62 mph) in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph. Originally the Aventador was designed by Lamborghini’s own design center under the direction of Philippo Perine. Perine was said to be inspired by the U.S. Air Force’s Stealth fighter jets, especially the F-22 Raptor.
Lamborghinis are born to be collector cars. Each one is still hand built at the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. In its short history (they only started producing factory Lamborghinis since 1963) it has had a significant effect on how exotic sports cars are designed and built.
