SCOTTSDALE, AZ — The lights seemed to flicker as “Christine” took the stage (see photo above) at the 2015 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Even the security guards appeared a little uneasy. But “Christine”, the 1958 Plymouth Fury 2-Door Hardtop from the famous Stephen King movie of the same name, behaved amicably as the bidding reached $198,000. It was part of the incredible Ron Pratte Collection. On Tuesday 109 vehicles from this collection were sold at The 2015 Barrett-Jackson Auction sold 109 vehicles from this collection on Tuesday, making it an excellent start to an exciting week.

Lots of Corvettes, Camaros, Chevelles, GTOs, classic 50s cars and street rods are for sale, providing some interesting statistical information coming out of the Barrett-Jackson. Watch for our report on collector car values based on the results.

An unusually large number of buyers arrived early in the week due to the sale of the Ron Pratte Collection.
