Hit the road Mopars, Corvettes are taking the lead! Once again Corvettes have taken the top spot on our “Top Ten Most Popular” list for muscle cars, claiming 13.13 percent of internet searches (See our Corvette Section). Each month the Cars On Line staff analyzes statistics from Google and Bing search engines in order to understand consumer trends. This month internet buyers took a break from Mopars, and instead spent their time looking for Chevrolet muscle cars. Camaro grabbed second place with 11.24 percent of internet searches. Meanwhile former top dog, Dodge Charger, dropped down two spots to round out the top three. Making a big leap was the Pontiac GTO, which found itself in fifth after being dead last the previous month. View the Top Ten Muscle Cars below.
Once again it was a month dominated by Ford in the classic car market. According to Google and Bing statistics, 31.17 percent of classic car buyers were in pursuit of something built by the Ford Motor Company (See our Ford Section). For the sixth month in a row, the Ford Model A was the vehicle driving the most interest, as it made up 13.96 percent of internet searches for classic vehicles. In a surprise move Rolls-Royce landed in second place with 16.63 percent of internet searches, effectively knocking Chevrolet down to the No. 3 spot.
