1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible for sale!
An amazing find! A private collector from Easton, Connecticut has just listed his 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible for sale in our Mopar Section. He tells us it is an original V Code 440 Six Pack Challenger with a 4-speed and 4.10 Dana rear end. What is very interesting about this posting is that the seller indicates that it was one of the factory Dealer Demo cars built early in the production cycle and meant to be used to promote the brand new Challenger model for Dodge that year. It was the initial E-Body Chrysler car built to compete in the Pony Car market, at the peak of the muscle car era. The seller says this Challenger was built on the first day of production for Dodge that year. He is offering it with documentation including the original fender tag and broadcast sheet. He says it is numbers matching with a dash tag, door sticker, cowl tag, radiator support identification and transmission numbers. He says it was restored to original spec with its Hemi Orange paint with black convertible top, interior and stide stripes. He also comments that it drives as well as it looks. He says the 440 6 Pack, 4-speed and 4.10 Dana, console, Rally dash and Rim Blow steering wheel are all original equipment. This is a truly impressive car for any top collection.
