Reduced 1940 Cadillac 62 Convertible

Price Reduced 1940 Cadillac 62 Convertible For Sale

Setting an elite standard for its time, this 1940 Cadillac 62 Series Convertible Coupe is a rare breed today, and made even rarer still thanks to a small rear seat that was added during manufacturing at a cost of just $10. The original build sheet revealed much about this restored “2-passenger” beauty. Only 200 units were produced and it’s believed that only 15 remain today. This one took home a Senior Award from Hershey, Pennsylvania in 2001 and we’re told it’s been maintained well ever since. It features elegant Soft Green Metallic paint, trimmed with black and a maroon leather interior. It also has rare side-mounted tires, first available as an option in 1940. There’s a 348ci 8-cylinder flathead engine with monoblock construction under the hood and it’s matched to a 3-speed manual transmission with column shift. It comes to us from Warminster, Pennsylvania and is here because it was PRICE REDUCED earlier this week, from $89,000 to $84,000.
