1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing for sale!
You’ve seen them drawing multi-million dollar bids at top auctions around the country from the Barrett-Jackson to the RM-Sotheby auctions. The 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing was listed by a premium dealer in the New York area, coincidentally called Gullwing Motor Cars. They regularly have cars of this caliber in their inventory. This is how advanced these cars were for their time. They had a 215 hp, 2,992 cc SOHC six-cylinder engine with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, 4-speed manual transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, coil spring and swing-axle rear suspension, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. This car has had only two owners from new and has never been restored. Gullwing says it has been exceptionally well-cared for. Only 1,400 of these cars were produced between 1954 and early-1957.
