1963 Corvette Custom Convertible for Sale
“This Corvette has been smoothed, molded, and de-cluttered in every way to give a sleek and slippery look unlike any Vette on the road.” That’s some of what Gateway Classic Cars has to say about the 1963 Corvette Custom Convertible they just put up for sale in St. Louis, Missouri.
“The front end is extremely customized as the bumper, lights, and grill have been removed and replaced with the turn signal bar from a ’57 Chevy. Poking through the hood is a set of dual quads, mounted to a tunnel ram intake which feeds a 350 CID V8 power plant. The engine exhales through a set of 4″ side pipes that are header wrapped to avoid burnt legs. The transmission is a 4 speed manual with a Hurst vertical gate shifter. Adding to the uniqueness is the fact that the convertible top and all of its components have been completely removed. Since the car is permanently open, the side windows have also been removed as well as the exterior door handles. One thing that has been added is a feature never available in a ’63 Corvette, a trunk!”
