1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing for Sale
Well, Gullwing Motor Cars has done it again. Just like their name implies, they do seem to acquire their share of $million-dollar Mercedes-Benz classic Gullwings. This 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing is the third fourth one they’be advertised for sale this year. That’s amazing! It is the type of collectible car that you see at the Barrett-Jackson Auction or an RM/Sothey’s sale on a rare occasion. But Gullwing Motor Cars seems to come up with these cars frequently.
This one is referred to as a Rudge wheel example which comes with a Ruby Red repaint. But they say the rest of the car is original. The description says it comes with 40 years of records and its original tool kit. It was ordered new from the factory with a 3.64 rear axle ratio. They say it has spent most of its life in California. It may be considered the nicest driving original car in existence. Gullwing Motor Cars is located in Astoria, New York.
