“Airport Hanger” Find!

Look what they found at an airport hanger in Southern California. It is a 1929 Ford Model A Dry Lakes Roadster owned by Riverside race car driver Phil Braybrooks. It was built by the legendary Butch Phllips, also of Riverside, California. His credentials include twice world land-speed record holder and 200 MPH Club Member. He built it in the late ’80s to resemble a late ’40s era dry lake Street Roadster. It exemplifies an era when they transformed their daily drivers into iconic American Hot Rods.

Classic Car Marketing of Southern California is offering this Lakes Roadster for sale. It has a Ford Flathead (L-head) motor, 3X2 Stromberg 97 carburetors, Edelbrock intake and ignition, Jet Hot Coated headers, Lake pipes, and more. Lots of great California shops worked on this car. This is an example of how “old school is still cool.”
