1958 AC Ace Bristol Roadster

1958 AC Ace Bristol Roadster for sale!

When Carroll Shelby decided to use a British made AC Ace body imported from England to build his legendary Cobra, it was the biggest thing that ever happened to the little British sports car manufacturer. Even after Shelby quit making the Cobras, AC was still selling Ace sports cars for racing in Europe. An example such as this 1958 AC Ace Bristol Roadster which was just listed by Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles is hard-to-find here in the states. Yet they look so much like their Cobra cousins that you can see why they command such a high value in the collector car market here in the U.S., as well as in Europe. They only produced 680 of these Aces during their ten-year history. They say this one has matching numbers in Vermilion with black interior, original soft top, side curtains and wire wheels. There is light checking in the paint but they say it is still very presentable. It has the beautiful handcrafted aluminum body. This would be a real unique asset to any great collection.
