Show Car Seen At Dodger Stadium and SEMA
Here is a chance to own a high profile, multi-show winning 1972 Chevelle Pro Touring Resto Mod (Click this link to see the ad on the Cars On Line website) with all the right equipment to look awesome and sound nasty. It was restored by D&PClassic Chevy in Huntington Beach, California. He says it attracts crowds wherever he takes it.
They say the body and chassis was media blasted and hundreds of hours spent on the paint and body work. There are some very subtle body modifications which were performed to enhance the overall appearance. Look closely at the photos. The custom PPG basecoat/clearcoat paint glows in the dark. Open the hood and you’ll find a high performance small block 350 wound together with a hot cam, March pulley system, and Doug’s headers. It is mated to a Tremec 6-speed with a hydraulic clutch. The engine compartment is highly detailed with blackouts. The differential is a new moser 12-bolt with 4:10 gears and narrowed housing and posi-traction.
The suspension is finished off with Global West control arms and rear trailing arms. The wheels are one-off custom billet, 19″ in front and 20’s in the rear. Click through to the ad copy to see a complete list of equipment. It goes on forever.
There is no way you could build the car at the price the seller is asking for it. With hundreds of hours of detail work, it is a one-off that no one else could copy. The seller says he used the best parts in the automotive world to build it. You would be well into six figures to replicate this type of work.
But it was not built just to show. This car was meant to be driven. The seller says he drives it several times a month. Here is a video that we found on YouTube of this D&P Classic Chevy ride.
