1951 Ford Victoria Convertible for sale!

Don’t miss your chance to own this 1951 Ford Victoria Convertible (click here to see the ad) from Peoria, Arizona. The seller tells us the radical custom was built by George Barris, restyled by Art Maimbourg, and pinstriped by Ed “Big Daddy” Roth.

Here is the history, according to the seller:

This car originally came in to the world as a ’51 Ford Victoria 2-door hard top. It was diagonally sectioned 5″ in approximately 1953 by Barris Custom Studios. Mr. Barris confirmed that he had done the work and signed the dashboard.

It was stashed away in a warehouse in Waco, TX from 1958 to 1989/1990, after which it was acquired by another legend in the custom car world – Art Maimbourg – who removed the top and added a convertible windshield top frame, added a Carson style top and converted the car to a two passenger roadster. Art restyled the tail lights and had this beauty painted and pinstriped by hot rod icon Ed “Big Daddy” Roth – the originator of Rat Fink.

It has a fresh era correct Flathead V8, 4-speed transmission and runs and drives incredibly. Finally we added vintage air under the hood utilizing a 1956 Cadillac housing in the interior, and a hidden stereo in the glove department.
