Back then there was no way we could have known how valuable these cars would become in the collector car hobby today. This 1969 Dodge Daytona Charger has been listed this week by Hendrick Performance, Rick Hendrick’s muscle car shop in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is one of only 503 Daytona Chargers produced (just enough for NASCAR homologation.) Another 51 were built for Canada. They tell us it is fully documented and listed in the Chrysler Registry. Reknown Mopar historian Galen Govier has done a 31-page report on the car. It is believed to be one of only 34 such cars every produced in F6 Bright Green metallic finish from the factory. It comes with a numbers matching Torqueflite automatic transmission, although they say the engine is an NOM 440 with 375 horsepower. The team at Hendrick Performance rates this one as being in No. 3 condition class.
