For the second time this month we discovered a rare species of Thunderbird in our new listings here on the Cars On Line.com website. We noted that a super rare 1957 Ford Thunderbird E Code (nicknamed the E-Bird) has been listed here on our website in our Thunderbird Section. The E Code designation referred to a T-Bird equipped with a 312 ci V8 engine with a factory dual quad carburetor and special factory dual air cleaner. (Click here to see dozens of detailed photos and more info on this E-Bird.) It is one of only 1,441 E Code cars built by Ford. That is very rare considering that, in all, there were 21,380 Ford Thunderbirds produced in ’57. The beautiful Thunderbird Bronze car is said to be in “excellent condition.” Thunderbird bronze is one of the most desirable colors for 1957. The E-Bird convertible came with an automatic transmission, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, removable white porthole hardtop and special Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels.
