1937 Cord 812 Phaeton for sale!

If you’ve always wanted to be an invited participant at the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Festival and parade in Auburn, Indiana here is your ticket. This is an authentic 1937 Cord 812 Phaeton (Click here to see the ad!) for sale by owner. The Cord 812 is one of 404 non-supercharged Phaetons produced in 1937. “Restored about 10 years ago, the car looks like it was completed yesterday,” says Ed Howe of Sykesville, Maryland, the current owner. The Cord was the work of famous auto designer Gordon Buehrig. Only 700 812 Cords were produced in 1937. And by the end of 1937 the Auburn Automobile Company (the parent company for Cord) filed for bankruptcy during the Great Depression. One of the most forward looking and futuristic cars of the era had met its end so suddenly.

Recent work performed by Al Prueitt and Sons of Glenrock, Pennsylvania included: a new cloth top, transmission and shifter service. It has been completely detailed for show. The owner says it is ready to tour.
