1984 Porsche Kremer GT Street 2 in the U.S.  …

The street version 1984 Porsche Kremer G5 Street 2 is a rare prodigy of the famous Kremer Racing team, the team that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979. With Gotti wheels and Pirelli P7R tires, it is a street legal version of the great Porsche 935 which Kremer Racing developed in the late ’70s and early ’80s.

This particular 1984 Porsche Kremer G5 Street 2 is offered for sale by GT Auto Lounge in Rancho Cordova, California. They are the newest member of the Cars On Line Dealer Network, where the hottest collector cars in the world are featured. This incredible car is one of only five in the world and just two in the United States. GT Auto Lounge tells us it has just 19k original miles. In 1976, Porsche introduced a racing version of the Porsche 930/911 Turbo which they dubbed, the 935. It was designed for FIA-Group 5 competition. Over the years factory development of the 935 by Porsche was discontinued but the 935 continued to be raced by tuner development companies such as the famous Kremer Racing of Cologne, Germany.

From 1976 through 1984, the Porsche 935 won over 150 races which includes over twenty class victories. The 935 was the overall victor at the 24 Hours of LeMans, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the 24 Hours of Daytona. Typical street modifications by Kremer might include: A stiffer suspension, Kremer strut bar, stiffer Bilstein shocks, stronger torsion bars. Body mods were many, flatter nose with ow headlights, extended rear flares to accommodate 11″ wide rear wheels, and a larger whale tale adding stability to assist the performance of the larger intercooler.

Kremer upgraded the engine to 380hp, using a K27 turbo with adjustable wastegate, and a larger intercooler, and installed their 935 slant nose racing body. Kremer authenticated their cars by adding a big rear crossmember with welded ID tag under the engine (shown in last photo of the ad.)
