A 1969 AMC AMX muscle car was listed on the Cars On Line website this week. Cars On Line has just selected it as its DEAL of the DAY highlight car for the week. Cars such as this 1969 AMC AMX muscle car helped break AMC’s reputation from the Rambler Econobox to the performance car they hoped to create. This is one of 619 built in ’69. It has been upgraded with a 390 ci big block motor as noted in the ad. It’s priced at just $19,997 and will be DEAL of the DAY featured on the front page of the Cars On Line website on Saturday.
The car is currently being offered for sale by Crown Concepts out of Tucson, Arizona. Crown Concepts is featured as our most recent member of the Cars On Line Dealer Network. Here is what they said about this classic muscle car:

AMC ALSO INTRODUCED THE SUPER STOCK AMX WITH 2- 4 BARREL HOLLEY CARBS AND 12.3:1 COMPRESSION HEADS THEN HURST GOT THE CAR AND WORKED THEIR MAGIC… AMERICAN MOTORS STILL MAINTAINED A 340 HORSEPOWER RATING BUT THE NHRA SAID IT WAS CLOSER TO 420. THIS CAR RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX TURNED 10’S AND CROSSED THE LINE AT OVER 125 MPH, THAT WAS HAULIN’ ASS IN 1969……… THIS CAR WAS BORN WITH A 290 V-8 ,A MANUAL TRANSMISSION WHICH MAKES IT ONE OF THE RAREST AMX’S PRODUCED WITH ONLY 619 OF THESE IN 1969… AT SOME POINT A PREVIOUS OWNER REPLACED THE 290 WITH A 390 AND DID NOT REPLACE THE A/C COMPRESSOR SO THE CAR CURRENTLY IS SANS A/C.”
