A 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS was a surprise to be chosen as this week’s top DEAL of the DAY in the Cars On Line newsletter this week. Early last year some of our advertisers in the Southwest were saying that first generation Chevy Malibus were getting hard to find and were in big demand. We think that is still the case. So when this 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS was listed by a private seller from Edgewood, Iowa this week it brought a smile to our faces. It sure takes a nice picture, doesn’t it? (Click here to view the ad and photos.) The seller tells us, ” It was originally a Texas car, so there is no rust. The seller said it was totally redone about ten years ago. It is all numbers matching with a 327/300 hp engine and 4-speed tranny and has power steering and power brakes. The regal red paint is superb.” You’ll have to inspect it to know for sure, but it sure seems like this one is worth checking out. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. The asking price is $27,900.
Here is what the seller about his 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS:
“I am selling my 1965 Chevelle because interests changed from cars to tractors. It was originally a Texas car, so there is no rust. It was totally redone about ten years ago. It is all numbers matching with a 327/300 hp engine and 4-speed tranny and has power steering and power brakes. The regal red paint is superb. The car runs and drives great, and has won many first place trophies at car shows. It has all the trim and badges of an SS, but by the VIN is actually a Malibu. The only difference is a bench seat instead of buckets. The interior is red and the seat covers and carpet are like new. It has all new gauges including tach and everything works. I put new Cragers and tires on about five years ago. The stainless and chrome is all like new including the rare and hard to find bumper guards. The car has been stored during the winter and never driven in rain or snow.”
