A classic 1955 Ford Thunderbird was chosen as one of this week’s DEAL of the DAY by Cars On Line.com in their weekly newsletter. The vintage T-Bird invoked one of Cars On Line’s favorite sayings, “if you find one for under $30,000 … but it.” While prices on first generation Ford Thunderbirds are trending lower this year, we think this rule still holds true, especially when you are looking at cars like this classic 1955 Ford Thunderbird offered this week by Cruisin Classics in Columbus, Ohio. (Follow this link to see dozens of high resolution photos.) This one has an updated 302 ci V8 engine and C-4 3-speed automatic transmission. It has a soft top only (no auxiliary hardtop) and is outfitted with fender skirts, hubcaps the nice chrome bumpers out of which the rear exhaust pipes flow. They say the dash is in excellent condition. Just look at the photos of the interior. You should take this video tour of the car and hear it run. It will be our DEAL of the DAY because the asking price is only $27,995.

“This 2 Door beauty starts the show with the red exterior, driver quality paint. It continues with the fender skirts, hubs, the nice chrome bumpers including the back bumper that surrounds the rear exhaust pipes. The removable convertible is somewhat of an easy task to operate to put on and a quick stash behind the seat when off. Moving inside, you will find the all familiar black and white bucket seats with the automatic shifter on the floor. The dash facia is in great condition as is the dash pad. The aftermarket AM/FM radio works just fine for cruising to your favorite tunes. Seats, carpet and all coverings inside are in great condition. The steering wheel is telescopic to help with fitment in this smaller than average auto. These first generation Thunderbirds were a huge hit back when introduced and remain a hit with enthusiast worldwide. The power in this particular car comes from a newer 302ci (mid 90’s) engine and a C-4, 3-speed automatic transmission.”
