The top DEAL of the DAY on the internet is a big 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, the last of the great Eldorado ragtops, floating on air with a price that is a discount to today’s market averages. The announcement came in the weekend edition of the Cars-On-Line.com newsletter today.
P.J.’s Auto World in Clearwater, Florida just posted the 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible for sale as it was noticed among the fresh listings on the Cars-On-Line.com website. (Click here to see their post and dozens of photos.) Cars-On-Line.com has become the most active “search engine” for collector car sales. All of the big advertisers around the country use Cars-On-Line as their listing site where collectors look for prime classic and collectible cars to purchase.
1976 was to be the final year for the Eldorado convertible and the car was heavily promoted by General Motors as “the last American convertible”. Some 14,000 would be sold, many purchased as investments. I remember selling one of these cars with very low miles for over $100,000. P.J.’s Auto World has this one for sale at a deep discount to the anticipated collector value back in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Will these cars ever sell for $100,000 again? Maybe not, but here is one with only 52k original miles which will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. The price being asked by P.J.’s is only $12,900.
The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You’ll always see them here first though.
