A 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB is among the top exotic super cars in the late model sports car market. Among all of the exotic cars on the market today, the 488 GTB is the shoe-in to become a top collector car in the future.
When Ferrari replaced its phenomenal 458 Italia with the 488 GTB in 2015 it seemed to happen with little fanfare, almost as if Ferrari had forgottent to notify the press. That is really too bad since the Ferrari 488 turns out to be an amazing exotic super car. We think it will be one of the most sought after collectible Ferraris of the next 20 years. The one you see here is currently being offered for sale by Perillo’s Pre-Owned Outlet in Downers Grove, Illinois.
They say this car is flawless in every way. Owned locally in the Chicago area, it comes with full factory warranty and scheduled maintenance. Perillo’s records show it has only 1,641 miles from new. They produced this test drive video below. (Click video window to view.)
The beautiful Ross Corsa red 2018 Ferrari 488 GT looks fast just standing still. (Follow this link to view dozens of detailed photos.) With sculpted rear haunches, the 488 has a scallop-like intake scoop, a design that is distinctlively Ferrari harking back to the 308 GTB of old. In Ferrari pedigree, it was designed for speed and racing capability. The sculpted body creates aerodynamic down force at high speeds. But what truly makes this car fast is the standard adaptive suspension which allows for superior handling at dangerously high speeds. It is said that the 488 is easier to handle than the previous 458 Italia for the less experienced driver. It has even improved on Ferrari’s exclusive drift-o-matic Side Slip Angle Control, allowing the car to slide under control as if it is talking to the suspension.
The mid-engined 488 was designed for a race track. You can tell when you wind it out over a country road. Each shift achieves a distictively higher pitch of acceleration. The gutteral soundtrack would make you think you were at the Nurburgring. The GTB can hit 60 mph in three seconds. It is all because of the powerful 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 transfering power through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. That drivetrain will be why this 488 Ferrari will be remembered. It is a twin-turbo designed V8 engine with no turbo lag. Its all go all the time.
So it is somewhat surprising to find out that the 488 is also very comfortable and has docile road manners on the street. The GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta. The Cuoio interior is elegantly ergonomic with an interesting console design (see photos in the ad.)
Fully optioned, these car will price at over $346,000. They say this one is virtually flawless, and with under 2,000 miles it will be like a new car. If you are an automotive nut with good taste, a keen sense of the road and want to buy one for much less than the new car price, then this 2018 Ferrari 488 GTB is perfect for you.
