Looking for a Resto Mod that you can get for pocket change? How about a 1966 Mercury Comet that looks like a Cyclone muscle car from the ’60s? That’s what we found in the Cars-On-Line.com newsletter today. Every week Cars-On-Line picks the top deals available in the collector car market, and in their weekly newsletter they preview cars to be featured each day of the week on the home page in the DEAL of the DAY feature. Saturday’s featured deal?
A beautiful resto mod 1966 Mercury Comet Hardtop becomes a hot rod version of the original midsized American classic. It may be a poor man’s Cyclone, but for the average gearhead this is a pure performance muscle car. (Follow this link to view photos and get the contact information.) Look at the slick paint on a laster straight body. It is all part of a rotisserie restoration. Note the Cyclone hood, new red over silver interior and a built 351 Windsor with roller cam and bored .030 with aluminum heads and Doug’s headers. It is being offered for sale by a private seller from Bastrop, Louisiana. It will be our Deal of the Day on Saturday. The asking price is $22,000.
The Deal of the Day preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You will always see them in the newsletter first, however. Here is a link to this week’s featured Deals of the Day.
