When the Cars-On-Line newsletter came out today we found out that a 1981 Pontiac Trans Am NASCAR Daytona Pace Car was selected as the Deal of the Day on the internet for Saturday. The low-mile Pace Car seems to have survived the last 39 years in nice condition. With Pontiac Trans Ams gaining popularity in the collector car market these days this one is one to consider as a muscle car investment.
The 1981 Pontiac Trans Am NASCAR Daytona Pace Car is one of only about 2,000 built that year. The private seller from North Carolina tells us it has just over 49k miles showing and comes in its original paint. (You can see more photos and read the ad copy at this link.) It was with its original femaile owner until about 5 years ago. He says the car looks really good for its age, and that all of the accessories appear to be in working order. He states that the interior, trunk area and engine compartment all look extra nice. There are a few cosmetic itrems to consider. But this one will be our featured Deal of the Day this week. The asking price is only $18,500.
The Deal of the Day preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the popular feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You’ll always see them in the newsletter first, though.
