There was some excitement in this week’s Cars-On-Line newsletter, when a 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible was offered at a very low price. It was selected as Deal of the Day on the internet for Saturday.
Car collectors are pretty aware that there has been an uptrend in interest in the 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. Popularity of different makes and models of classic muscle cars goes up and down with trends that move through the market. For many years the Chevrolet Camaro dominated the collector scene. But in just the past few years more collectors are looking for Pontiac Firebirds boosting prices, especially on the first generation Firebird convertibles. So it was interesting to see this one posted for a very low price by a private party seller from Michigan. He says it is a driver quality car which has recently undergone a mechanical refresh. The paint is older which puts it in the driver quality category. But the look and stance on this Firebird are impressive. (Tap here to see the photos and read the description.)
He says the original #s matching 350 ci engine was rebuilt, heads sent out and set up for unleaded fuel, original # alternator, starter, radiator, water pump were sent out and rebuilt and much more. This is a lotta’ car for the money. It will be the Deal of the Day on the internet on Saturday. The asking price is only $26,500.
