Poppy Red 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback

Something must be going on in California these days. A Poppy Red 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback is being offered for sale by Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles this week. The price is “so right” that it was chosen to be the Deal of the Day on the internet on Monday.

There are a number of nicely priced classic Mustangs coming out of that Los Angeles area from Beverly Hills Car Club this week. This is a very desirable Poppy Red 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback, a real A Code car with white racing stripes and a black interior. (Be sure to read the ad info and find dozens of detailed photos on the ad page.)  It not only has the 289 Ford V8, but also comes with the manual transmission and has added Cobra valve covers, and solid wheels. Ford enthusiasts know that the first generation Mustangs fastbacks always bring premium prices in the collector market. We haven’t seen one at this price point in a while. They say it is mechanically sound. The asking price is $29,950. That’s really a great price considering these fastback versions often price around $40,000.

The Deal of the Day preview is published every Friday in the weekly Cars-On-Line newsletter. It gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the Deal of the Day feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page. With prices like these you can see why. For a look at all of this coming week’s Deals of the Day follow this link to the most recent edition of the newsletter.
