It will make a ripple in the collector car market this week when a low miles first generation T-Bird becomes the Deal of the Day on the internet. A 1955 Ford Thunderbird has been posted in a classified ad on the Cars-On-Line website at a very affordable price.
They couldn’t believe it at the Cars-On-Line.com office when they noticed this 1955 Ford Thunderbird was listed for sale from Menasha, Wisconsin. (Tap this link to view the ad and photos online.) To begin with, the private seller says it only has 22,347 miles on it. It has the P-Code 292 ci V8, an automatic transmission and power steering and power brakes. A complete restoration was done in 1990, according to the seller. They spent over $50,000 on the restoration back then. The popular color is Goldenrod Yellow with a black and yellow tutone interior. It even comes with fender skirts and curb feelers. The seller says the first generation T-Bird was always stored in a climate-controlled environment. He says you can drive it anywhere. It will be our Deal of the Day early next week. His asking price is only $26,500.
The Deal of the Day preview is a feature of the weekly Cars-On-Line newsletter, a publication for the collector car community. The newsletter gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the Deal of the Day feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page. You’ll always find them in the newsletter first, however.
