We’re goin’ old school this week. When an old school Ford Tudor Sedan was picked to be Deal of the Day on the internet for Saturday, it dawned on us that this was a really interesting old school hot rod at a great price point in today’s collector car market.
There is something so intriguing about the look of a classic Ford that has been restored in the old school hot rod style but still looks original. When a 1940 Ford Deluxe Tudor Sedan was selected as the featured Deal of the Day in this week’s Cars-On-Line newsletter it brought old school type customs into the spotlight. (Follow this link to view the photos and ad info on this great old classic hot rod.) With all original looking sheet metal and wide whitewall tires and Ford hubcaps, the Old School Ford Tudor creates a new look for old school. The interior looks like it was redone to imitate a ’50s style with Naugahide look. It even has cool period pinstriping from the 1960’s. The drivetrain is a 350 Chevy crate motor with TH350 automatic transmission. It has a Nova front clip with disc brakes, a Maverick rear end and it has heat and air conditioning. The seller says it runs and drives well and everything works. The asking price was only $24,000.
Every week, Cars-On-Line.com chooses the best deals on the internet to feature on its home page. Their front page feature has become a regular read for car collectors. You can preview the top deals each week in the Friday publication of the Cars-On-Line newsletter. The Deal of the Day preview gives you first shot at all the cars which will be highlighted in the Deal of the Day feature on their homepage. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the homepage.
